u16 WRFL 2011 Interleague Squad

The Western Region Football League will field eight teams in the 2011 Junior Interleague Program (U12, U13, U14 Div 1 & 2, U15 Div 1 & 2, U16 and U18 age groups). This is an important program that provides opportunities for WRFL players to compete against quality players from other leagues, and assists in enhancing the reputation of the league and its member clubs.

Information on training schedules and locations for each age group will be provided shortly however our U16 coach John Radcliffe is commencing his training program and selection process next Wednesday evening 13th April. John has extended an open invitation to all interested U16 players to attend this initial training session, to be held at Glen Orden Football Club, cnr Nightingale and Kookaburra Avenues, Werribee (Melway 206 B4). Please ensure players arrive by 6.45pm for a 7pm start. John has requested that all players wear their club jumper at training to assist in identification of players at training and in club games. He will also explain the program and selection process leading up to the selection of the final squad of 26 players.

Attached is an U16 Interleague Invitation (containing training and interleague match details) that you may pass onto your players.

Would all clubs please communicate this to your U16 coaching staff and players, keeping in mind that players who are members of Western Jets/Brad Johnson squad are ineligible for interleague selection.
